I know that when my teacher was explaining things to do at the audition, he said to be extra kind to everyone because, at the auditions earlier in the year for a different show, everyone was being rude to others, and when someone was being kind to my teacher and said to have a good evening, it is actually the only thing that got her in. He said she wouldn’t have gotten in if she hadn’t shown kindness.

The process is much more accessible and transparent today. Students need to start preparing their auditions @ 1 year, in advance.
