In reply to Kyle. You can usually trust a music business program offered through a university. There are also some for-profit institutions that offer good programs as well. A good school is one that offers what you want to study, that you can afford, that provides opportunities to use your training while still a student so you can get feedback and support, that has fellow students you can learn from and collaborate with.

In reply to John. We suggest your son look at music business programs in addition to strictly business programs. Some may have delayed their application deadlines but best to get on this right away. Use the “Find Schools That Fit Your Interests” search tool on the homepage of �ƹ�app to learn about music business programs at participating schools on this website. We also encourage your son to check out music business-oriented organizations such as NAMM, RIAA, and Music Business Association.

Good article! My son is a senior in high school and I am steering him toward business (Marketing, management or Operations). His main passion is music. to inspire him more about business we are to explain to him he can use his business degree to work for a music production company or somewhere in the broader music sector. If you know of additional articles or information that would inspire and educate him that a business degree can be leveraged in the music space I would certainly appreciate it.
